2nd Grade Enrichment Activities

For many years, I was tasked with teaching specific content standards.  In my current role, I am working with students and teachers to help develop critical thinking and creativity in students, regardless of the content. This page is a resource to second grade teachers who are looking for enrich their second grade students' thinking.  Many of these resources would also be applicable with other grade levels.

Analogies--When students learn about analogies they are learning to think critically about how various items are connect.  Analogies also support creativity which is all about connecting various ideas in new ways. For more analogy supports click here.
