S5L1 Students will classify organisms into groups and relate how they determined the groups with how and why scientists use classification.

Sorting Plants

Scientists sort plants in many different ways. You can visit the StudyJams links below to find out about many of the various plants classifications.

• Plants with seeds
• Gymnosperms: seeds in cones
• Angiosperms: seeds in fruit
• Plants reproduce with flowers
• Plants without seeds (Vascular & Non-Vascular)
• Mosses, ferns and their spores
• Plant adaptations (This may not actually be a way that plants are sorted, but it is still interesting.)
