Well, I've been many places and seen many amazing things, but I have to admit that one of the most awesome experiences I've ever had was becoming a dad this summer. I've imagined being a dad many times and having a little munchkin that looked and acted a little bit like me sometimes. Right now, my little guy can only do four things (eat, sleep, cry and poop), but soon I'll be able to teach him how to do the many things that I loved doing as a kid. I guess one of the most exciting things about being a dad is that I get to relive childhood! As you will notice in scrolling through the pictures of my first few weeks with my little guy, I pride myself in capturing his emotions: crying, yawning, stretching or just looking like a baby. Right now, he can't even seem to focus his little eyes on me. He is completely helpless and I am so thankful that I will be teaching at a school closer to home this year, so I can be there to help him (and my wife).

AuthorI have been fortunate to work with kids from all over the world and I want to keep perspective in my own life, as well as challenge others to keep things in perspective in their lives. I know a blog like this might be a bit strange to have on an educational website, but I think that education should not be put in a box. What is learned in school needs to connect to the real world. The posts that I make will hopefully challenge people to think differently about life and the world in which they live. Archives
